CHRISTMAS PLANNED ROUTES
Hello and Merry Christmas!
As usual, the Round Table sleighs will be winding their way around Hitchin. BUT, for obvious reasons, NOT knocking on your doors to ask for kind donations that we will forward directly onto our one chosen charity this year, Hitchin Partnership.
Your donation to this very worthy cause that will mean many people will receive food and essentials who may not be as fortunate this Christmas time without your kind help.
Be assured that every single penny will go directly to this good cause, without anything being taken out for administration or costs.
Because we cannot collect door to door. We kindly ask you to donate > here <
Or, text CKRZ01 to 70970 to donate £5 instead. Thank you.
The route plan for this season is as follows…
PLEASE NOTE! The information below is a route PLAN. All of the routes are collected with the help of volunteers. We have strict time limits on when our collections must end (8pm). Therefore, despite our best efforts, it is possible that not all roads will be reached.

Hitchin Round Table has been successfully raising money for local good causes since 1948; our fund raising is primarily through the Christmas Collections and the mulled wine stall. We also get a third of the profit from Hitchin Beer and Cider Festival, this money goes into the running of Hitchin Round Table, and we allocate a proportion to local charities (decided in our business meeting).
In recent years we have donated funds raised to:
- Tilehouse Counselling
- Hertfordshire Independent Living Services
- Angels Support
- Hitchin Partnership
- Hitchin Samaritans
- Garden House Hospice
A group of us also rode over 100 miles from Hitchin to Brighton in 2017, and raised over £7,000 for the mens mental heath charity CALM.
Raising money for local causes is part of what we are about, we all are happy to spend our time to give back to the local community.
